YouTube uploader is a private service run by a single operator for their own YouTube channel. Only the operator's Google account can sign in.
YouTube API Services
This service uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Data the service accesses
- Your Google account's e-mail address, only to check that you are the operator.
- Your YouTube channel, with the permission to manage it: to upload videos and captions, set titles, descriptions, languages, thumbnails, and visibility, add videos to playlists, list your videos and playlists, and read and post comments and replies on your videos as your channel.
- Video, image, and caption files you hand to the service through an upload link or a download URL.
How the data is used and stored
- The Google refresh token is stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) on the server and used only to call the YouTube API on your behalf.
- Sign-in tokens for the AI assistant are stored only as hashes.
- Uploaded and downloaded files are kept only until the upload to YouTube is done, and deleted within about 24 hours.
- Status records of the last 100 uploads (title, video ID, state) are kept to report progress.
- Comments are read from YouTube only when requested and are not stored.
- Logs contain no tokens, e-mail addresses, or file contents.
Sharing
No data is sold or shared with third parties. Data is sent only to Google, as required to use the YouTube API.
Revoking access and deletion
You can revoke the service's access to your Google account at any time on the Google security settings page. The stored refresh token then stops working and is deleted the next time the service tries to use it. Uploaded files are deleted as described above.
